Jathwa Institute today publishes its inaugural Report: 'Due process under emergency powers: a comparative review.' The Report compares the procedural architecture of emergency-powers regimes across eight constitutional systems and offers a structured framework for assessing legislative proposals in the area.

The Report is the first in a sustained research programme on the procedural architecture of accountability — the procedural features that distinguish constitutionally bounded regimes from those that drift toward consolidation. The programme will produce further Reports, Working Papers, and Briefs over the coming year.

The Report is available openly under the Institute's standard publication licence. A companion Dataset is forthcoming.
